2015: Our most recent effort was a bunch of vampire bat pumpkins. They didn't look so great by daylight, while we were stringing them up across the path to the door (the strings clearly showed), but once the light faded, they really hovered well, particularly when the wind made them quiver. I thought the plastic fangs were a nice touch:
2014: Our theme this year was a giant pumpkin centipede, complete with chelicerae, menacingly guarding the doorbell:
2013: Our efforts this year focused on a single large cannibal pumpkin/spider, messily devouring a baby pumpkin:
